The Mexican Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (IMENDE, A.C.) is an Institution that was founded in April 1986 as a non-profit civil association, under the auspices of the UN regional project for Latin America and the Caribbean RLA82 TC01. For more than 35 years it has been dedicated to the dissemination of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Welding Inspection and related areas.

IMENDE, since 2016, is the entity accredited by the ISO 17024 standard to certify people in the area of ​​non-destructive testing, under the ISO-9712 ​​standards and the NMX B 482, welding inspection and related areas.

Since 2008 he has been the representative of Mexico before the International Committee on Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT). It is a member of the ICNDT’s mutual recognition agreement (MRA2) for certifications under ISO 9712.
